About This Course

Welcome to Worldview Explorations, a journey into understanding how each of us makes meaning of the world – and how these interpretations shape our relationships, communication, choices, and workplace culture. Worldviews are the invisible operating systems behind everything we do. We’re not born with a worldview – we’re born into them. They’re shaped by our families, communities, experiences, identities, and the language we learn to use – long before we’re aware of it.

In Lesson 1, we explore why worldviews matter, especially in teams or organizations that care about communication, inclusion, trust, performance, and belonging. You’ll begin noticing what influences your worldview, how you “fill in the gaps” when you don’t have all the information, and how your worldview helps – or sometimes hinders – your ability to connect across differences.

In Lesson 2, brain and behavioral science ideas and concepts are explored. You will understand how the brain works, why it resists change, how challenges to your worldview are received by the brain and why arguing does not change other people’s minds. From behavioral science, you will learn about common behaviors and reactions that are in play that cause us to look for information that supports what we already believe – or our worldview. You will also become aware of strategies you can use to work with what you learn.

In Lesson 3, the Worldview Intelligence Six Dimensions Framework is described in detail. You will discover how to draw on each of the dimensions – Reality, History, Future, Values, Practices and Knowledge – to understand your worldview or someone else’s. The same framework applies to gaining insight into the worldview of a team, organization, community, culture and even your family.

In Lesson 4, ways to build a community of support and commit to new practices and behaviors are offered.

This 4-part course will show you how to turn worldview awareness into actionable skills that strengthen teamwork, reduce conflict, and create a culture where people feel seen, heard, and valued.
